I am lucky enough to have two beautiful daughters who are both creative and talented girls. When buying their stationery supplies to begin each school year, they would always ask me to put in the crayon pack that had the 'extra' colours; the glittery silvers and golds and of course purple, which many generic packs didn't have. I called this blog, 'The Purple Crayon' because it makes me laugh thinking of this.
The Purple Crayon shares my memoirs of being a Mum, teacher, lover of books and observer of all things beautiful and inspiring. It truly is a privilege to teach and as a parent, carer, grandparent or educator, I hope you can relate,share or even have a giggle at some of my experiences.
